Mission: Impossible. That is what I have officailly deemed this truck. Basically, I am taking what was a stock 1991 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4x4 and doing everything that I can to to get Horse Power out of it. There is one catch though. I am trying to accomplish this without any drastic changes to the original workmanship of the truck. Meaning, that I will be keeping the original Throttle Body Injected 318, A500 tranny, and 4x4 chassis that it came with originally. Thus, I am having to upgrade the internals and depend on bolt-ons to get the performance that I want. Your probably saying to yourself; it sounds easy enough. But when you factor in the idea that the T.B.I. 318ci engine was only used in the dakota for two years you start to realize how difficult this project really is. Those models being the redesigned 1991 dakota and the 1989 limited production Shelby Dakotas. Well, now you know my dilema and can see why I want to keep this truck looking like Original Equipment. So I hope you enjoy the rest of the information I have provided.
