    79 Ford Granada (brand F hand-me-down)
  • Other hobbies:

    V6
  • Transmission:
    Manual
  • Designation:

  • Body:
    Regular Cab, short bed
  • Options:
bucket seats, white clear coat, 3.9 axle ratio, 22-gal fuel tank
  • Mileage:
    90,000 mi
  • Completed modifications:
    previous owner added:
Lund moon visor (lighted!), Sony CD player, Alpine alarm, class III receiver hitch, vent visors, hood guard, and a diamond plate tailgate protector. He also had GTS slotted tail light covers and several decals which I removed (they just weren't "me").

    I've added:
Super Swamper 31x9.50 R15 on a second set of rims for off-road use only. Street tires are LT235/75 R15 Pirelli Scorpion A/T.
Added a set of OEM skid plates, and custom mounted tow hooks up front (I still can't believe Chrysler considers skid plates and tow hooks optional on a 4x4).
Also added a Covercraft rail system tonneau cover, Rhino spray-in bedliner, FABM (Edelbrock open air filter can with K&N filter), and Cobra CB radio.
  • Planned modifications:
Powertrax No-Slip differential in the rear
  • If money were no object:
I'd retire and spend my time exploring the country in the Dakota.

After the winch, Trailmaster suspension lift, V8 swap, and Atlas II transfer case, of course :-).

My other sick idea is to shorten the bed by a foot or so to improve the departure angle.
